PRIVACY NOTICE

(on processing personal data in the “Infodesk” mobile application to provide general information to individuals residing in PIIA centers)

This privacy notice is intended for individuals registering in the mobile application “Infodesk” managed by the Reception and Integration Agency (hereinafter – PIIA). It provides information on how PIIA processes your personal data in accordance with the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (the General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter – GDPR).

2. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

Your personal data will be processed to allow you to use the functions of the “Infodesk” mobile application and to receive general information intended for residents of PIIA centers.

Legal basis for processing:

Article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR – processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest assigned to PIIA under the applicable legislation.

3. Data Processed

During registration, PIIA may collect and process the following personal data:

This data is required for your identification, to allow us to provide access to content in the mobile application intended for residents of PIIA centers.

4. Source of Your Data

We obtain your personal data directly from you when you fill out the registration form in the mobile application.

5. Data Recipients

Your personal data may be shared with the following recipients when necessary to provide services or fulfill legal obligations:

  1. PIIA staff responsible for service administration;
  2. IT service providers who provide system maintenance or technical support (as data processors).

Data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area unless appropriate safeguards are in place, as required by the GDPR.

6. Data Retention Period

Your personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to provide and administer the services, but no longer than 5 years from the date the service is provided, in accordance with the Records Retention Schedule approved by the Chief Archivist of Lithuania on 9 March 2011, Order No. V-100.

After the retention period, the data will be securely destroyed.

7. Your Rights

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

  1. The right to receive information about data processing (GDPR Articles 13, 14)
  2. The right to access your data (GDPR Article 15)
  3. The right to request correction of your data (GDPR Article 16)
  4. The right to request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”) (GDPR Article 17). Note: this right can be exercised when at least one of the conditions in Article 17(1) is met.
  5. The right to restrict data processing (GDPR Article 18). Note: this right can be exercised when at least one of the conditions in Article 18(1) is met;
  6. The right to object to the processing of your personal data (GDPR Article 21). Note: in this case, you should specify the specific reasons for your objection.
  7. The right to lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate (www.vdai.lrv.lt) if you believe your rights have been violated.
